Account of an 1827 trial held for a group of Philadelphia tailors charged with conspiracy for going on strike to demand higher wages. In accordance with common law, the court found the tailors guilty of conspiracy. An important document of early labor relations in the United States.

Octavo, iv, [5]-167 pages. In Good condition. Rebacked original boards with brown paper spine and light brown paper spine label with black lettering. Boards show light wear to edges, moderate bumping to corners, chipping to bottom corner of back cover, and light plus age toning and wear overall. Text block has light plus age toning overall, and a small chip to the bottom corner of the title page. Small pencil emendation to front cover. Shoemaker 29056. RWO Consignment. Shelved in Room G.
