Two pamphlets published contemporaneous with the trial of Charles I by the High Court of Justice in 1649. Both contain partial transcripts of the proceedings from the first two days of the trial, January 20th and January 22nd, 1649. Charles appeared before the High Court for a third day, and was convicted and executed on January 30th. Both pamphlets bear the imprimatur of government press licensers.

A Perfect Narrative... also appeared in a sixteen-page version. References: ESTC R219208; Nelson and Seccombe, 518.

Collections of Notes Taken at the Kings Tryall shows a print date of 1648, in accordance with Lady Day Dating. The ESTC identifies four copies in public collections in the UK and North America. References: ESTC R206057; Wing C5218; Thomason, E.538[30].

A Perfect Narrative of the Whole Proceedings...: Small Quarto (5.5 in. x 7 in.), [1], 4 pages, p. 6, [2]. In Good condition. Disbound pamphlet, with some residue from no longer extant wraps. Pages have moderate uneven age-toning, with faint creasing. Pagination begins on verso of title page, page 5 is mis-numbered "6", and last two pages are unpaginated. Text continuous and complete despite pagination. Largely conforms to ESTC entry, but the mis-numbering of page 5 is not identified therein. Rare.

Collections of Notes Taken at the Kings Tryall...: Small Quarto, (4.6 in. x 6.8 in.), 2 pages, 6 pages. In Good condition. Disbound pamphlet. Pages show light soiling and age-toning, some minor chipping to edges of first and third leaves, and significant wear to the fourth and final leaf (several small holes impacting text). Text continuous despite pagination, and conforms to ESTC entry. Rare.
