Boards show heavy scuffing to both covers, bumping and mild rubbing to corners, rubbing to edges, and partial splitting to front joint. Text block has mild to moderate uneven age toning, heavy splitting to gutter between frontispiece and first title page exposing binding and inside of spine, foxing to many pages, and first title page has bottom corner repaired with new paper. Marbled endpapers and text block edges. Features forty-three engraved illustrations throughout. Shelved in Case 13.
