Simultaneously released in 1832 by Colburn & Bentley in London, and by Carey & Lea in Philadelphia. Published under Irving's long-standing pseudonym "Geoffrey Crayon."

Octavos, Two Volumes. In Very Good Minus condition. Brown leather spine with faded gilt lettering and raised bands. Red marbled boards wrapped in protective mylar covers show light shelf with rubbing along bottom edges (especially Vol. I), the top front corner of vol. I is bumped, and the front covers of both volumes are slightly bowed. Textblock shows light age toning throughout, occasional light foxing (more prominent in vol. II), and the name of a previous owner is inscribed in ink on the title page of Vol. II. Rebound in 3/4 leather with marbled boards.
