A unique volume containing the first chapter of Huneker's Iconoclasts. The first portion of the volume consists of a 17-page autograph manuscript, signed by the author, followed by the printed version of the same chapter.

Boards show some wear and cracking to leather along joints and at the head/tail of spine, tail of spine nearly detached, and minor rubbing to edges and corners of boards. Text block lightly age-toned, with more advanced age-toning to handwritten pages. Loose bookplate of John Markle II appears at front. Two handwritten lightly age-toned slips are included, one provides a brief biography of the author, the second reads "An item from the library of William F.
